BRITISH COLUMBIA Campbell River, Cassidy, Castlegar, Comox, Courtenay, Cranbrook, Duncan, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Nelson, Parksville, Penticton, Port Alberni, Port Hardy, Prince George, Salmon Arm, Tofino, Vernon, West Kelowna: " Allowed with written permission from Budget office only. Check with the rental counter for details. If the rate quoted has unlimited kilometers, they will be available for travel within British Columbia and Alberta only. If traveling outside of these areas the unlimited kilometers will not apply, instead kilometers will be charged at 200 free kilometers per day, 1400 free kilometers per week, 5000 free kilometers per month. Charge of .16 CAD per each additional kilometer over the free kilometers allowed. MAXIMUM 5000 kilometers allowed per rental agreement. Richmond, Vancouver: " Travel within Canada- Travel outside of British Columbia is only allowed with permission from the Budget office. Rates with unlimited kilometers are only available for travel within British Columbia. If traveling in Alberta, rates with unlimited kilometers will have a 20.00 CAD per day surcharge. Travel to, or within any other province is strictly prohibited. Customers driving within other provinces will be charged 0.50 CAD per km, for every km driven, during the entire rental. Note: 8 passenger and 15 passenger vans are only available for travel with British Columbia. " Travel within United States- Rates with unlimited kilometers are only available for travel within the state of Washington. If traveling within the states of Oregon or California rates with unlimited kilometers will have an additional charge of 20.00 CAD per day for the entire rental. Travel to, or within any other state is strictly prohibited. Customers traveling within other states will be charged 0.50 CAD per km, for every km driven during the entire rental. Travel to Alaska is not permitted. " Mexico- Travel into Mexico is not permitted. Queen Charlotte, Sandspit: " Vehicles are allowed on the island only. Vehicles are not permitted on the ferry. Terrace: " Travel within Canada and the United States is allowed with written permission from the Budget office only. Check with the location for details. Victoria: " Unlimited kilometers apply when driving in Victoria. If crossing a border (Canada or US) written permission must be obtained from the rental counter and there will be a mileage cap of 200 kms per day. MANITOBA Winnipeg: " 15 passenger vans at this location are not allowed to travel within the United States. NEWFOUNDLAND Goose Bay: " Travel within Canada's Atlantic Provinces: No restrictions. Unlimited KM rates are only valid for travel within the Atlantic Provinces (New Brunswick NB, Newfoundland NF, Nova Scotia NS and Prince Edward Island PE). " For ANY travel outside of the following Atlantic Provinces (New Brunswick NB, Newfoundland NF, Nova Scotia NS and Prince Edward Island PE) and including travel to the United States: Restricted kilometer allowance and fees will apply. QUEBEC Alma, Chicoutimi, Jonquiere, La Baie, Levis, Rouyn-Noranda, St Felicien, St Georges, Sept-Iles, Val D'Or: " Travel within Canada and the United States is allowed with written permission from the Budget office only. Drummondville, Plessisville, Sherbrooke, Thetford Mines, Trois Rivieres Victoriaville: " Vehicles can be driven throughout the Canadian provinces with no restrictions. Vehicles are not allowed to travel into the U.S. YUKON Whitehorse " Travel in Canada is only allowed to British Columbia, Northwest Territories and Alberta with permission from the Budget office. Travel is allowed into Alaska with permission of the Budget office. There is a 150.00 CAD per rental Cross Border Fee into the U.S. Travel is not allowed into the rest of the United States and Canada. Dempster Highway Restricted Area Fee: 1500.00 CAD per rental.

Waiver and protection options | | Acceptance of Loss Damage Waiver reduces the renter and authorized additional driver's responsibility to 300.00 or 500.00 CAD for loss of, or damage to the Budget car, when they comply with the terms and conditions listed on the rental document jacket. At the time of rental the customer must initial whether he/she accepts or declines the LDW and optional services. LDW and optional services must be signed for at the rental counter. LDW is taxable. If LDW is not accepted, the customer is financially responsible for the full value of: " Accident Damage " Glass Damage " Stolen items (radio, battery, etc.) " Vandalism " Theft of the car Canceling LDW Once LDW has been purchased it must remain on the contract. The customer has the option to return the car and close the rental agreement, however, this could change the rate for the rental agreement, and a different, possibly higher, rate could apply for a new rental. " must sign a cancellation notice. Loss of Use The customer may also be responsible for reimbursing Budget for the revenue lost by not being able to use the car while it is being repaired or not recovered due to theft (referred to as Loss of Use). YUKON TERRITORY Whitehorse: " Purchase of LDW will reduce the renter's responsibility to 2,500 to 5,000. CAD depending on the car group rented. Damage to people and their property Public Liability covers injury or death to a third party (persons outside the Budget vehicle). Property Damage covers damage to property other than the Budget vehicle and the renter's, driver's or passenger's property. Depending on the location Budget will provide primary, secondary or no coverage up to the minimum limits required by law in that state. The Rental Document will state what type of coverage is provided. Personal Accident and Effects Insurance (PAE) PAE provides the renter and occupants of the Budget car with accidental death benefits and coverage for certain medical reasons. Renters are protected both in and out of the rental vehicle throughout the entire rental period; occupants are covered only while in the Budget vehicle. In addition, PAE provides protection against loss of or damage to certain personal property of the renter and individuals traveling with the renter. PAE Benefits Type of Coverage Accidental Death - Renter 100,000 CAD and Passengers 10,000 CAD. Medical Coverage for Injuries - Renter or Passengers 3,500 CAD. Ambulance Service - Renter or Passengers 250 CAD. Personal Property Benefits - The maximum coverage per individual is 600 per claim with a maximum coverage of 1,800 CAD for all individuals combined. A deductible of 25.00 CAD per person will apply. Some types of personal effects are not covered under this policy check with rental location or reservations for exceptions.

Drivers license and ID requirements | | A valid driver's license from the country of residence and an acceptable credit or debit card is required (see the Payment Options section for more information). In addition to the driver's license, customers renting vehicle groups W (Standard SUV), L (Full Size SUV), Z (Premium SUV) and all Group X (Specialty Vehicles) must also produce a credit card in their own name and they must be able to show another piece of identification. The types of ID customers can use (Any of the following may be used): Military ID, Certificate of Indian Status, Canadian passport, Canadian Permanent Resident Card, Foreign passport that meets the requirements, Nexus or FAST/EXPRESS card, Non-driver's license issued by a province or territory, ID card issued by the federal government, or a provincial or territorial government, Credit card (other than the one being used for payment of rental) in customer's name. An International driving permit is also required for licenses with a non-roman alphabet. Renters who have indicated a country of residence outside of the United States or Canada will be required to present the following at the time of rental to qualify for the quoted rate: " A driver's license and passport issued outside of the United States or Canada " A return airline ticket
International renters require driver's license in English or French or International Driver's license NOTE: Customers are required to have a Class F driving license when renting a vehicle designed to transport 10 to 24 passengers. (Class F license is similar to a "bus license")

FastBreak | | Fast break is accepted, proceed to fastbreak counter. Find customer name on monitor and proceed to designated vehicle area. Choose vehicle, proceed to exit booth. Present drivers licence and hand tag to a Budget agent. Must be a fastbreak member. To book, input membership number in the ID field. |

Fuel charges | | The vehicle is rented with a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank of gas or there will be a charge for refueling. If you have refueled please keep your receipt for verification purposes. Most locations offer a prepaid gas option to purchase a full tank at market value which allows the customer to return the vehicle without a full tank of gas. There is no refund for unused gas. If the vehicle is driven less than 125 kilometers there may be an additional refueling fee, unless a gas receipt is presented at time of return. The customer can check at the time of rental for complete details.

General station/country information | | Office services for de-planing passengers only. Customers must present Airline ticket or Boarding pass at time of rental. If driving on higway 407 (electronically monitored toll expressway), must purchase additional coverage to cover toll charges at CAD$ 10.00 per day. Customers who use toll highway without coverage will be billed for their actual usage plus a CAD 5.00 per trip administration fee and all applicable taxes. hese charges will be added to contract up to 3 months after the rental is closed and will automatically be charged to their credit card.
If a parking ticket is received, an additional CAD 20.00 will be applied on top of fine. |

Miscellaneous information | | e-Tolls Please be aware of roads that may be "cashless tolls" and drivers on these roads are not able to pay cash once they have entered these roads. Renters can automatically opt into our e-Toll service program and will be charged 17.00 CAD plus GST/HST per rental, plus incurred tolls at the maximum prevailing rates posted by the toll authority. The charges may take 4-8 weeks after the rental to be billed to your credit card/debit card on file.
Extended Roadside Extended Roadside offers fast, dependable rescue service for our renters for a daily charge. It is offered to our customers at time of rental and provides roadside assistance for lost keys and remote entry device lockouts, flat tire service, towing (if the vehicle is inoperable), jump starts and emergency fuel delivery (up to 3 gallons). The cost of replacing a key for most vehicles is at least 100 CAD. Locksmith charges range by area. In addition to the cost of keys, there is a tow charge or delivery fee that can range from 50 to 250 CAD depending on the distance. By accepting the Extended Roadside Service, you won't have to worry about incurring additional expense for the listed items while on the road.

One Way Rentals | | Based on availability one-way rentals are allowed between cities within Canada. A one-way fee may apply. |

Returns | | If you want to extend the rental or wish to return the vehicle to a different location please contact us as soon as possible. At the latest, this should be before the end date and time on your rental agreement. You will be advised whether the change is possible and any additional costs when you call. If you fail to extend your rental you will be charged the prevailing pay at location prices for the extra days as well as a late return administration fee of 10.00 CAD for each day or part of a day until the vehicle is returned. If you return the vehicle to a different location then you agreed to at time of rental your rate could default to a different rate available on the day you return the vehicle and a one way fee will be applied.
