Added important information | |
Traffic Violations: The renter assumes full responsibility for traffic violations and pays the respective fines plus an administration fee of EUR 37,20.
Rentals starting at an Airport Location: A surcharge of 9%, calculated on the basic price, will be added to the cost of all rentals starting at any Budget airport location in Greece. Especially for the Athens Airport station the surcharge is 13%. This is usually included in the Budget rates. Please refer to your contract.
City Tax: A 0,5% tax is charged in some downtown locations and is calculated on the total price. This is usually included in the Budget rates. Please refer to your contract.
Roadside Safety Net: The renter may cover all costs of the road assistance in case any "problems" occur during the rental (key loss, wrong fuel choice, change of tyre). The cost is EUR 4,34 per day, with maximum charge of EUR 60,76.
No Show Charges: If the renter does not pick up the car, a non-show fee of EUR 49,60 per booking will apply.
Incident Report Fee: In case of an accident or traffic violation fine, there is a non-refundable fee of EUR 37,20 to cover administration expenses, irrespectively of renter's liability.
Online Prepayment:
On the Budget website there is the option of online prepayment by card. This card must be in the name of the driver, who must provide it on the pick-up date. If this card is NOT a credit card, then the driver must also provide a personal credit card on the pick-up date/time, which will be used as a guarantee.

Additional driver information | |
Additional drivers can be added for a cost of EUR 4.96 per day, up to maximum cost of EUR 49.60 per rental agreement.
Any additional drivers must be present when you collect the car. All drivers must meet our conditions of rental. See the Driver Licence/ID and Age Requirement sections for full details.

Age information | |
Renter and driver must be at least 21 years old at the date of car pick up. Renters who are younger than age of 25, regardless of the rented car type will be charged EUR 12.40 daily, with a maximum charge of EUR 124.00 per rental agreement.
Renters/drivers between the age of 21 to 25 are only allowed to rent car groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, M, N, O. To rent other car groups the renter most be over 25 years old.
No maximum age restriction applies.

Payment options | |
Budget will take a deposit for the estimated amount of the rental plus up to 500€ will be authorized against the renter's credit/debit card at the time of rental. In case the Super Cover is purchased or included, the authorization will be the estimated amount of the rental plus up to 150€. This amount will no longer be available for your immediate use and may take up to 14 days, depending on your bank, to become available. We will not be responsible for any returned check(s) or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.
Cash
Payment by cash is accepted.
Cash may not be used for the deposit.
Debit Cards
Payment by debit card is accepted.
Debit cards may not be used for the deposit.

A credit card in the name of the main driver must be produced at the time of rental.

PLEASE NOTE: When you pick up the vehicle, Budget will block an amount from your credit card as a guarantee for
the fulfilment of your obligations under the rental agreement. Following full payment of the rent and any other financial obligations under the rental agreement, Budget shall order the unblocking of the amount of guarantee.
The time of actual unblocking of the amount of guarantee depends on the rules of the issuer of your credit card and Budget bears no liability for delays.

What's covered?
If t case of a damage the customer will be covered for the cost of the repair of the Budget vehicle.
What's not covered?
Damage caused intentionally or by negligence.
Damage caused by incorrect fuel.
Damage caused as a result of a breach of the rental agreement's terms and conditions.
Damage caused as a result of fire, vis mayor and terrorist attacks.
Damage caused to the underneath and the top of the car, the antenna, the glass and the tyres or while Budget car was on ferry.

TP- Theft Protection Cover:
What's covered?
This covers the cost of replacing the rental car (or parts of it) if it gets stolen.
What's not covered?
Negligence while refuelling the vehicle (e.g. car unsupervised) or keys safe keeping (e.g. left in ignition).

In case of damage, the driver can reduce the excess charge by purchasing Super CDW.
What's covered?
Completely eliminates the excess amounts of Collision Damage Cover (CDW) and Vehicle Theft Cover (TP) for all car groups. Mandatory condition is that the customer completes and signs the Budget Accident Report before the end of the rental. If another vehicle is involved in the accident with the Budget car, it is mandatory that the renter collects all personal details of the other driver as well as the details of the other car and calls the police in case of injury or serious damage.

PAI-Personal Accident Insurance: What's covered?
Covers the renter of the vehicle of up to €50.000 in case of death, total or partial disability, plus up to €2.000 for medical expenses incurred, due to the accident.
What's not covered?
Accidents that did not happen while driving the Budget car.
Accidents that happened before or after the rental.
It is available at a cost of EUR 3.1 per day.
SPAI-Super Personal Insurance
What's covered?
Additional to Personal Accident Insurance and increases the renter's coverage up to €80.000 for death, €100.000 for total or partial disability and €5.000 for clinical expenses.
What's not covered?
Accidents that did not happen while driving the Budget car.
Accidents that happened before or after the rental.
It is available for a cost of EUR 4.34 per day.
Third Party Liability
Third party liability is included in the rental price.
Covers third parties in case of death or body injuries, including passengers (except the driver of the Budget vehicle), when using the Budget vehicle, up to the amount set by Greek Government authorities, at the time of rental.
Third Party liability doesn't cover theft or attempted theft of the vehicle, theft of personal belongings from the vehicle, death or injury to the driver and damage to the rental vehicle.

Delivery and collection | |
Hotel delivery and collection services are available from this location at extra cost, depending on the distance from the Budget office. Service is available on request at time of reservation; full address and contact details will be required.

How to find us | |
The rental and return desk is inside the terminal building. Vehicles must be returned to the Budget section of the Car Rental car park which is clearly signed at the Airport car park. |

Drivers license and ID requirements | |

If your licence was issued outside the European Community countries, you also must provide an International Driving Licence. |

Fuel charges | |
Prepaid Fuel: Customer may prepay a full tank of fuel at the time of car pick-up, at the average price of the market which is defined by the Ministry. Customer may return the car empty of fuel. If the car is returned with some amount of fuel Budget will not credit the customer for this fuel. If customer returns the car full of fuel, then Budget will refund the money paid for the fuel at the beginning of the rental.
Non Prepaid Fuel: Customer may choose not to prepay for the fuel but if customer returns the car with less fuel in the tank than at the time of car pick up, Budget will charge refueling service fee of EUR 14,88( including VAT) per rental agreement, plus the cost of the missing fuel. |

One Way Rentals | |
Domestic:The return of the car to a location other than the one the car was picked-up from is permitted between specific stations with an additional charge. The price will vary depending on the pick-up / drop-off location. Minimum charge for one way service is EUR 22.32.
International : One way rentals are not permitted. |

Collecting and returning your vehicle | |
At time of pick up, the main driver and additional drivers must present photographic ID (passport preferred) or passport as proof of identity when collecting the vehicle. The main driver must also present a valid credit card as deposit for the rental. The preauthorisation amount will be limited to the damage responsibility amount plus the rental value.
Car Collection - Out of hours fee
If the renter wants to pick-up a car during out of office hours, he must request this at the time of reservation. The charge for out of hour’s service is EUR 28,52. This fee is not included in your rental rate.
Late arrivals
In case the renter is late, Budget guarantees car availability for maximum 3 hours after the pick- up time entered in the booking. After this time, the reserved vehicle may be released to another customer. Budget recommends the renter to enter the flight number when booking the car. If the renter is delayed, the rate of the rental is subject to change.
Late Return
Unless agreed differently, all customers must return the vehicle and any optional extras at the time/date and location stated on their rental agreement. If the customer believes they will be late, it is in their best interest to request an extension from us. If the customer is then late in returning their vehicle ,they must pay for an extra day's rental for the vehicle and any optional extras plus a late return processing fee for each day/part of a day they are late. The processing fee is EUR18.60, UKL18.00 or the equivalent amount in the renting country currency. |

Child and baby seats are available at an additional charge of EUR 7.44 per day, up to maximum amount of EUR 74.40 per rental.
Snow chains are available for the cost of EUR 6.20 per day, up to maximum cost of EUR 62.00 per rental.
